True stories about real engines!
The Gibraltar Railway
Sadly, there's only one diesel engine left, which is the Rock, at Irchester Railway.
The Bagnalls (Gibraltar Class) all went to the Shetland Isles after Gibraltar.
The larger Manning Wardles and Hunslet,
went to Malaysia and were bombed
during the second world war.
I was very lucky to meet Gill Podesta, the person who found the wagon and encouraged the Gibraltar Heritage Trust to help restore the wagon. He gave me loads of info on the railway. There are still bits of track that you can find, but most of it was removed and still is being removed as more building work goes on.

Lots of people in Gibraltar don't even know that they once had a railway.
I liked finding out about the Titan block laying cranes and the divers.
